Q. What is an Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit(EAA)?
A. The “Evidentiary Will/Abuse Affidavit (EAA) tells the victim’s stories, histories and experiences that are preserved and stored on their behalf. It helps give the victim back POWER and CONTROL over their situation. This unique and proven approach prevents more serious crimes that begin with domestic violence and stalking, up to and including homicide. It allows the voice of the victim to be heard, even when they are not able to tell their story. The affidavit and video will provide answers to the many questions, allegations, and fears that arise when a person has disappeared, gone missing, or been found dead. It can assist law enforcement with identifying a person of interest and/or charge or arrest the perpetrator/abuser.
Q. Does it matter when the abuse occurred?
A. NO, You can do an EAA at any time. There is no time limit for talking about your abuse.
Q. How do I do an Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit?

Filling out an eaa may seem long but we are talking about this being your voice should you not be here to testify on your own behalf. all the information listed there could be used to help find You should you go missing. What we are hoping to do is prevent the ultimate violence from happening by helping victims get back their power and control. We are also doing trainings with various organizations to make victims aware of this valuable resource and provide help in creating an EAA

A. The Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit contains information that is critical to help victims in documenting their experiences and creating a record to ensure that instances of abuse are memorialized, should there be a need for future use in the legal system
Q. Who Does the Evidentiary abuse affidavit help?
A.The Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit helps victims of abuse, stalking, harassment. It can be used for anyone in a situation which has the potential for harm to an individual, be it physical, sexual, mental, financial, etc. Survivors can document their abuse in a manner that validates their experiences and helps them to realize that their relationship has the potential for the ultimate type of violence. We hope by providing this documentation tool, we give them the ability necessary to change the circumstances in which they live in safely
Q. Anything else I should know about the EAA?
A.The Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit/Will allows victims to assemble police and hospital reports, any abusive emails, or correspondence, any photos or evidence of abuse and video tape their testimony all in one document which are witnessed and notarized as to their validity and copies given to trusted friends, family members, etc. DNA can also be provided if desired,
Q. Why Get this Document Notarized?
A. The EAA Is MOST EFFECTIVE WHEN IT IS NOTARIZED BECAUSE IT IS A WILL/AFFIDAVIT. NOTARIZATION ADDS TO THE VALIDITY OF THE STATEMENTS BEING PROVIDED.
